German Offshore-Industry-Centre Cuxhaven

The German Offshore-Industry-Centre Cuxhaven combines the functions of a production site with logistics activities for the offshore wind energy industry. Various jack-up berths and port services around Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) and Crew Transfer Vessels (CTV) perfect the activities. For the onshore wind industry, Cuxport provides deep-water berths for multipurpose vessels transporting wind components. Via a private heavy-haulage-road and an optimised roundabout, oversized vehicles find easy access to the A27.

Heavy-lift berths for wind energy components

The Cuxport terminal supports the wind projects with:  

  • Fast in, fast out: quay access without passing any locks
  • Deep-water berths for various vessel types
  • Jack-up berths at the quayside without soil preparation
  • Two berths for SPMT RoRo monopile operation from seagoing barges or deck carriers
  • Sheltered berth on the Humber Pier for PSV, CTV, coasters and inland barges
  • Heavy-lift platforms for positioning of crawler cranes or storage of transition pieces
  • Storage areas
  • Warehouse including customs bonded warehouse
  • Access via heavy-haulage road and optimised roundabout for easy access to A27
